Which Apple TV is Compatible with Amazon Prime

So far Amazon has not released an Amazon Prime App especially for the Apple TV. Whether Apple doesn’t allow this app, due to Apples own TV ambitions. Or for the reason that Amazon promotes their Fire Stick, we don’t know.

What we do know is that there is a way. Stream the Amazon Prime App directly of you Amazon Apple Device of choice (thus: iPhone; iPad; Mac) and use the Airplay button. You want to have an Apple TV 2 (release date is September 2010) or higher to use  this function.
